Eliminating the athletic organizations here at BYU would ruin the student chemistry because the students would stop getting together so often.

Claim - Eliminating the athletic organizations here at BYU would ruin the student chemistry
Reason - because the students would stop getting together so often.
Assumption - Students want to be get together and have student chemistry.

  1. While the chemistry of the student body would change, BYU has enough other programs and clubs that students could, do, and probably still would get together. They just might do something different rather than go to a sporting event.

  2. This doesn't seem like an argument to me. I don't know anyone that wants to eliminate any athletic organizations so its not really an issue. I may be less informed then you are though. I definitely agree that it is a bad idea.

  3. I agree with the issue at hand, and i think that would be your biggest problem, I don't even know of rumors that they would disband the athletic organization. so you couldn't really write an argument for something everyone agrees on. however for byui that would be good.

  4. I do not think sports should be taken away, but as for the argument of it being lack of student chemistry, not really. I go to the games with my same group of friends anyways, not much would really change in that aspect without the sport games.

    Brandon and Tevan have a point. This is a non-argument unless someone is currently trying to do away with the athletic programs.
