Democracy in Latin America

  1. This is really broad, can you give a little more of an idea of what you're thinking?

  2. not too broad... democracy in latin america has been getting better but is not perfect in anywhere except for Chile, Uruguay and Costa Rica, these countries are considered somehow more developed... what causes countries in latin america and in anywhere in the world not to be democratic are a set of rules that are measured by the freedom house and the polity. In the topic, democracy in Latin America, a few specific things need to be talked about: corruption, rules of law, clientelism, populism and economic policies which are the main factors for countries to be or not democratic in Latin America.
